Can you believe it...Year FOUR!!! We have seen Athletes doing amazing feats of Strength and Skill while giving back to those who gave all. Over the last three years, this Competition has donated over $13,000.00 to Military and First Responder Charities. We also wanted to share with you that we have chosen three NEW charities this year and descriptions are below.
This competition will benefit charities of first responders and military. There will be 4 workout events. The team that wins each division of the events will decide which charity receives a portion of the proceeds. Each team will be comprised of 3 same gender athletes. If one or more members are a current, veteran/retired or volunteer member of military or first responder or EMS the cost of registration is $210.00 If your team does not have a "hero" your entry fee is $255. Each event is a "Hero" workout where your team will share the work. There will be advanced and intermediate levels for approaching the workout as well as male and female weights for each workout.
Workouts will be released in two week intervals prior to the event on the Facebook Page. Some of the movements/weights are listed below, but the list is NOT all inclusive. It is simply to assist athletes in choosing between Intermediate and Advanced divisions. All questions should be directed to info@Frictiongrandrapids.com or 616-957-1006 or message on Facebook. Please follow on Facebook at Hometown Heroes - Fitness Competition or on Instagram for further information as it is released.
