Cooler by the Lake Clash II

The Cooler by the Lake Clash is Back! Like last year, this is an Individual competition with an Affiliate/Team component. One day, three individual events in RX and Intermediate divisions for both male and female. An athlete's individual scores will count towards their Affiliate/Team score. Affiliate/Team scores will include scores from all four divisions with RX scores weighted higher. There's one new twist this year. Stay tuned for details.

All competitors will receive competition t-shirt in their Affiliate/Team colors. Cash/Prizes for top teams and individuals.

How does Affiliate/Team scoring work?

In each division, in each event, the top place will earn 10 points, second place 9 points, third place 8 points, etc.  RX Points will count double towards the team score. (e.g. if your Affiliate Team has an RX Female place 1st (10 points) in an event and an Intermediate male place 6th (5 Points) the Affiliate team would earn 25 points in that event (10pts X 2 + 5pts = 25pts)).

How many athletes can be on my Team? 

Unlimited but only 5 athletes per division (20 total) can count towards the team score. A deep team is a strong team in this scoring format, so get your friends to sign up!

What are the movement standards for the RX and Intermediate Divisions?

The RX Division is designed for high level competitors that follow competition programming, frequently finish near the top of their gym in workouts, compete regularly. The Intermediate division is designed for athletes that find scaled competitions too easy but would finish in the middle or back of the pack in higher level RX competitions. If you regularly finish in the top quarter of your gym, follow your gym's program, and have mastered most of the basic movements in CrossFit, the Intermediate Division is right for you. The following standards are not indicative of the workouts and should be viewed as suggestions.

RX: Ground-to-overhead 225/145 1rm or 165/95 for reps; Deadlift 385/215 1rm or 295/175 for reps; Squat Clean 245/145 1rm or 175/105 for reps; Snatch 185/105 or 115/65 for reps; Muscle-ups, Chest-to-bar Pull-ups; Deficit Handstand Push-ups (men) Handstand Push-ups (women), toes-to-bar; double-unders.

Intermediate: Ground-to-overhead 205/125 or 135/85 for reps; Deadlift 275/155 1rm or 185/115 for reps; Squat Clean 205/125 1rm or 135/85 for reps; Snatch 165/95 1rm or 95/55 for reps; Pull-ups, Chest-to-bar Pull-ups (men) Pull-ups (women); hand stand push-ups, toes-to-bar; double-unders.
