Social Garden CrossFit brings to you "The Social Competition!"  A CrossFit Licensed Event that will test your fitness.  Athletes from across South Texas will gather to celebrate a community of fitness and enjoy two fun filled days full of action, food, vendors and exciting workouts!  Join the fun today!

FAQ's

What division should I sign up for?

Here's the breakdown:

  • Foundations/Beginners - Entry level CrossFitter, perhaps 6 months to 1 year attending class regularly at your local CrossFit Box.
  • Body Weight Movements/Gymnastics: Should be able to do push-ups, sit-ups, box step-ups (20"/24") and squats.  Perform ring rows, jumping pull-ups and bear crawls. Run ;)
  • Barbell Movements: Should be able to perform deadlifts, cleans, press, push-press and thrusters at weights between 35#'s and 65# for women and 45 lbs and 95 lbs for men (deadlifts up to but not exceeding 115 lbs for women and 155 lbs for men)
  • DB Movements: Should be able to perform thrusters, cleans, press, man-makers, overhead squats, etc at 10 lbs for women and 20 lbs for men.

​​​​​​​Intermediate/Scaled - experienced CrossFit athlete with 1 or more years experience.  May perform some of their local CrossFit Box WOD's at an RX level but may still need to scale down at times.  This division should be able to do all the described movements and weights as the Foundations/Beginners division along with:

  • Body Weight/Gymnastics: Unassisted pull-ups, Box Jumps (2 foot jump), burpees and wall-walks.
  • Barbell Movements: Up to 95 lbs for women and 135 lbs for men (deadlifts up to but not exceeding 155 lbs for women and 205 lbs for men)
  • DB Movements: Up to 20 lbs for women and 35 lbs for men

RX Division - experienced CrossFit athlete with 1 or more years experience.  May perform the majority, if not all, of their local CrossFit Box WOD's at an RX level.  This division should be able to do all the described movements and weights as the Intermediate/Scaled division along with:

  • Body Weight/Gymnastics: Bar Muscle Ups, Ring Muscle Ups, Rope Climbs, Box Jumps (2 foot jump), burpees and Handstand Push-ups.
  • Barbell Movements: Up to 115 lbs for women and 165 lbs for men (deadlifts up to but not exceeding 205 lbs for women and 305 lbs for men)
  • DB Movements: Up to 35 lbs for women and 50 lbs for men
